I did not enjoy "The Ark" at all, mostly because the SGA crew weirdly annoyed me. And I'm sick of the "are the SGA crew going to make it out alive?!" drama when you know they are because it's always John and Rodney who are in trouble!

I was surprised at how funny "Bad Guys" was. I enjoyed that a lot.

Yeah, the SGA writers need to really put an interesting spin on the peril to make it work, because peril alone is not that convincing when the two main characters are facing it. (And they are the two main characters at this point; there's no real teaminess to the show at all. I'm finding that increasingly frustrating, because while I like John and Rodney and think Hewlett is an actor of great charm, I'm not that interested in a show that is just about them.)

You knew that Ben Browder got story credit for "Bad Guys," right? I'm trying not to be too upset that if the show had gotten another season, he might have gotten to write an episode. *sigh*

CAMERON: ...matter of fact, this is probably our worst first contact ever...
DANIEL: *handwaggle*

Bad Guys was seriously the high point of the second half of the season for me. Possibly of the entire season.

Hee. And there was something about the handwaggle that was very much "on a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a mediumish 5." From the guy who notified the Ori of our existence. Oh, Daniel.

God yes. I haven't love an episode that much in a Very Long Time. Thank you, Ben.
