Something mechanical involving my phone/DSL line kept me offline for the past few days. I apologize for my lack of commentary on everyone's recent entries. They're expanding the service "virally." ("Viral" is such a 1999 dot-boom buzzword. I'm having flashbacks. Oy.) Once you get an account, you can invite 6 people. They probably started with employees and friends of employees, but it's expanded to the entire Bay Area software community at this point. It's actually a pretty smart way of ramping up the mail load, since they can deal with problems as they arise without getting hit by too much volume all at once. Cool! If other people will find it useful, I'll start working posts up--probably after I finish S1 in a few days. Then the whole world can marvel at my freakish anal

If I had to rank all of the seasons, S1 would definitely fare poorly when compared to the others. But I'm finding a lot to love on rewatching, despite the tragic (tragic!) lack of Spike. It's the first time I've seen it since seeing S6 and S7 and I definitely have a new perspective now.
