BSG takes itself seriously. If it ever stops, it will collapse under its own weight. Whereas Doctor Who... not so much.

Now they have a time machine. Why do I think that will not go well either?

Because you have two brain cells to rub together and you know these people? And yes, that was Wayne Brady. He's a big SG-1 fan, apparently.

Heh. There's momentum to their pretension?

Huh. Did he ask to appear? Because I don't put him in the same category I put a lot of the other recognizable names I see appearing in the show in, which is the working actor doing a role category.

That I don't know. I just know he had RDA on his short-lived talk show, and was very fanboy about SG-1. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked, or if he was asked because they knew he liked the show.

There's momentum to their pretension?

Yeah, pretty much. Seriously, if anyone starts snickering it's all going to go to hell.

Vala! really, the most fantastic thing about PU is that he squishes her head! Love that so.

Why do I think that will not go well either?

::peers suspiciously:: You've been reading ahead! I will say that the fallout from the time-travel stuff has led to some fantastic fic.

He was just so frustrated and petty! It was great.

I was living with a roommate who watched Stargate while Season 8 was airing, and saw about five minutes of a later episode that involved time travel and Sam wearing really bad glasses. I had no idea what was going on, so that's all I remember about it, but I'm making an educated guess based on that and the introducing-a-gun-in-act-one principle that they're going to use the ship.

Congratulations on your promotion and raise!

I have somehow conned everybody in this company into believing I somehow know what I'm doing, and that eventually they're going to figure out the truth, and then I'm going to be in huge trouble.

That sounds sooo much like me. I'm still waiting for someone to take my promotion away from me.

Thank you. And yes, I'm afraid that some day they're going to catch on.

You and most of the professional women I know. They call it "Imposter Syndrome", I believe.

I suspect that you're just as good as they think you are, frankly. *g*

I wonder if it goes hand-in-hand with the feeling that, despite the mortgage-paying and job-holding and other minor signs, you have no idea where people get the idea that you're an adult? :)

The really fun thing about Vala is that Daniel has been angry before plenty of times, but she actually drives him to Kids in the Hall references.

Congratulations! Now you can afford to get that Stormtrooper costume for Dragon*Con. ;) Am I jealous of the money? The title? No. It's the two and a half hour lunch.

I've been hearing more and more about these fan produced 'Trek' eps. I'm not sure if they should be admired or told to get a life.

Thank you! And I only felt a little guilty! Mostly because I put in enough hours at this place that a single long lunch is not going to even the score.

Probably both. But given the amount of time I'm spending writing up reviews of every Farscape episode ever made, I'm a little hesitant to pass judgment.
