Affinity makes me laugh and laugh. I think my favorite bit is that scene with Teal'c and Daniel and Krista where Daniel's all "oh! Well, if there's potential sex with a hot girl involved, carry on getting involved in your neighbor's lives!"

Also Sam's whole pink tweed thing in the proposal scene.

I was caught between amusement at Daniel wanting his friend to get some and shock that Daniel even picked up on that as a valid motivation.

You need to tell me all about the weather in Seattle and Vancouver at this time of year, because I have no idea what to expect and I live in a place where it doesn't top 70 in the summer most of the time, so my wardrobe is what you might call limited.

So I'm hoping both of you will get this... like any trip, I'd suggest bringing layers. :) It's been 65-75 and muggy/rainy here the past couple of weeks, so we may be in for more of the same... or maybe not! The joys of living near the coast. :) I'd bring a waterproof jacket if you have one, and aside from that, just your basic jeans and shirts and maybe a sweater or sweatshirt. If you've got room for a pair of shorts, you could bring those just in case, but I doubt you'll need them. So, basically: layers. :)

The tension between Sheppard and Weir, and between civilian and military leadership principles, is interesting, and something I hope they develop more this season

It is a very interesting tension and you are not wrong that it goes away in Season 2. There's a lot of potential in Season 1 Atlantis that I hope they'll get back to in Season 3.
