Surfacing

Sep 23, 2005 11:55

I hit a major milestone in my deliverables on Wednesday and am cranking on the second milestone, took Mom to the airport this morning and got into work at 7:15 (wow is the office deserted at 7:15), and am attempting to catch up on LJ. Is there a "best by" date on LJ posts? I always feel lame commenting on days-old posts ( Read more... )

lost, my stargate is pastede on yay, my beloved money pit, meme sheepage

I loved Lost! Good season premiere indeed although yeah, that wig was just baddy bad bad.

I surely am glad to see you surfacing again. And in my opinion it's never too late to post comments. Sometimes I end up posting weeks later. :-)

It was enough to keep me interested. But--was that what that thing was?

I shut my eyes through what you said about Lost. ;)
Nice to hear you had a good time with your mother. It's crap when work gets in the way isn't it?
And good luck with the money pit. Is it your house? (I think I missed something, somewhere)

The money pit is indeed my house; I'm making an exaggerated reference to an extremely mediocre mid-80s comedy.

And best of luck with your own anxieties. I know what it's like to have everything gang up on you at once, and sometimes the only way through it is waiting it out.

Very glad you're emerging from the work insanity. Hope we can get together again soon.

The insanity is settling down to a dull madness for the interim, and I have time for at least 30% of a life. Yay! (Although I'm working a lot this weekend--boo!) We must definitely get together again soon. I'll email when I've ascertained the free spots in the calendar for the next few weeks.

Hey, glad the mom visit went well. Bummer for such late work hours, eep. And your Mom watches 'Lost'? That's awesome! *g*

My sister's house used to be a rental, so yeah, I get what you're going through...

My mom, alas, didn't so much watch Lost as attempt to have an in-depth conversation with me while I watched. But hey, I was at work so much while she was here, I couldn't really begrudge her my attention.

My sister's house used to be a rental, so yeah, I get what you're going through.

Deferred maintenance out the wazoo. Part of me is excited about being the one to finally show this place some love, and the other part is seriously wondering if I'm insane.

I am totally loving the fact that sci-fi has become so mainstream. I've downloaded but haven't yet watched BSG and Stargate Atlantis, though I've heard raves about these shows. (I haven't seen SA, either, though I saw the original movie ( ... )

I haven't really been watching Atlantis, but BSG is THE SHOW for me right now. It's just remarkably, extraordinarily good. I'd be very interested in hearing what you think of it when you get around to watching it.

That's an interesting idea re: the antiviral medication. IIRC, it killed some of the French crew but it changed others in some ominous way. And I think you're right about Walt--among other things, he was soaking wet, like he was still at sea.
