Last night I went on my first real run since the Chest Cold O' Doom at the beginning of September. It was a little rough, and it's rather frightening how quickly one can lose two years' worth of conditioning, but the important thing is that I got moving again. My running route is a little different in the winter, in the dark, and that might have ( Read more... )

Have any of you been following the issues with the Large Hadron Collider? There's a new theory about what's going on
Yes I saw that! And have been laughing ever since. Paradoxes ftw!

The only way it could be better is if the particles were dressed as ninjas!

I bet you hundreds of marketers and social scientists would give their right arms if they could somehow find a way to know when the internet was going to do this sort of thing and if they could harness it!

I'll bet someone is doing a study right now.

I think I did know that at one point, but I must have forgotten. And I'm not sure it explains the shoulders anyway.

Scully: Mulder, I wouldn’t put myself on the line for anybody but you.
Mulder: If there’s an ice tea in that bag, this could be love.
Scully: Must be fate, Mulder. Root beer.

Can you tell I was a shipper? It's amazing the things I can still remember.

I don't think all of the recent no smoking ordinances would stop the Cigarette Smoking Man. He's evil.

You know what really bugged me about 'Tooms'? That they built a mall in less than a year. I've been watching a building across the street from my office be renovated for two years.

Oscar was the best thing about 'Mafia'. And I want an icon of Jim, Pam and Oscar that says "Coalition for Reason". :)

Exactly. He cannot be bound by our petty rules!

I can quote the car scene from Tooms too. It's a little disturbing how much I can still remember.

I am trying hard to resist the pull, since I know it will only end in tears and throwing things at the television. But they make it hard with moments like that!

I think it depends on how motivated the developer is, and how much money they're sitting on. Right now, I'm not seeing many construction projects move very fast, since the market is oversaturated. Five years ago, people were throwing up buildings in 6 months.

Oscar was the best thing about 'Mafia'. And I want an icon of Jim, Pam and Oscar that says "Coalition for Reason".

Yes! I've been watching scranton_times, but nothing so far.

Roland has one of the best sight gags, with little pieces of police tape marking all the spots on the floor where the cryogenically frozen head shattered.

They can't shut down the X-Files! Mulder and Scully can't have other partners! Noooooooooo!

::claps hands together gleefully:: Now you're getting to the really good parts! I love S1, but S2 is even better, even though it does require even more ignoring of the conspiracy plot.

I loved that! If/when they stop laughing at their own weirdness, I will be sad.
