Oh! Thank you for articulating this. I was surprisingly put off by how Jim was handling Michael, even though he was doing what he's basically done for five seasons, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what was different. It wasn't so much him or what he was doing, but the shift in power that made it different.
I'm glad the show is being honest about how horrible this idea is, but I'm admittedly finding it hard watching Jim fail. Heh. (Also, Oscar is more amazing the snarkier he gets.)

I was put off by the way he handled Dwight, which was exactly the way he's teased him for the last five seasons; the power balance is the only thing that's changed, but it's the difference between someone fighting back the only way they can and being a total asshole.
I am very excited about the development of Oscar's snark! It's a natural reaction.
