when the bank shuts your credit card down after you report that someone has used it to rack up thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges in the last half of December
Oh, god, seriously? I'm so sorry! That entirely sucks.
I really really need to get hold of the Farscape comics. Like you, I'm not much of a comics person--for pretty much exactly the reasons you cite--but the lure of more Farscape is impossible to resist. (Except for how I'm going to have to remember about D'Argo, which is something I seriously involuntarily block out ALL THE TIME when I think about Farscape. Heh.)
I seem to have managed to develop a dual approach to the D'Argo situation: he was there for most of the show, and lives on in part of my mind, and I can read the new post-PK Wars stuff that incorporates his death without ever once really believing it truly happened. So there's hope for you!
but despite its wrenching parts, it was really satisfying
That is it exactly. I wanted Angela, especially, to get her due for what she's manipulated here. Her just letting them fight it out was extremely galling to me, so I was even more glad when they both dumped her at the end. I never thought I'd feel sorry for Andy Bernard. Now I want them to redeem Angela again, because there was a time I liked her.
I need to remember to get the Farscape comic! I'm pretty sure there are Firefly comics I've never read, too. I fail at comics.
I hope you have a very relaxing three-day weekend. I don't know anyone who deserves it more than you!

I was so proud of Andy when he canceled that wedding cake. I never thought I'd be so invested in his overcoming the situation. And yes, I really want them to redeem Angela, because she's always been horrible on one level, but this was an entirely different kind of horrible--one that she can hopefully learn from.
I generally fail at comics too, which is why I appreciate TFAW's subscription service. It's fairly idiot-proof.
