"Agent Mulder believes we are not alone."

I'm coming off of a major insomnia jag, and after a few nights of more or less regular sleep, I'm starting to feel like a human being again, but for a while there it was all I could do to keep my fingers plugged in my ears so my brains didn't dribble down my neck. I'm behind on a lot of things, including birthdays ( Read more... )

I have a gold pass to the Farscape con and can't go :-( WOE. How very tragic. On the bright side, I get a laurashapiro that weekend, which helps ease the pain. Please smile at Claudia for me and flirt with Gigi on my behalf.

Oh, I'm pretty sure the Creation flunkies won't let us anywhere near enough for smiling or flirting, with our measly day passes. I think laurashapiro's company is an excellent consolation.

I wish I could give you my pass! It's such a waste. I curse their no transfer policy!

That's so nice! But this way, asta77 and I can be lowly together.

Is there any way of nickling and diming they haven't exploited? We're still debating getting the preferred GA tickets, and forking over a per-ticket "mailing" fee to have them email us four tickets (for each of us, Saturday and Sunday). *shakes fist at them*

XF write-ups! Eeeee! ::bounce::

Fear not: Scully's outfits get better as you go along, although they're pretty terrible in S1.

Looking forward to seeing you both at the con! Did you decide to go to the Claudia Black meet and drink thing or no?

I'm really looking forward to seeing you too! The cocktail party tickets are sold out, so no, there will be no schmoozing with Claudia. Which is probably just as well, since I barely got through that autograph alive at D*C last year. Heh.

X-Files! Yay!

Well, I'm already frightened and confused--by the gray plaid blazer and tan pants combination Scully is wearing. On this planet, those things don't go together AT ALL.

During the first season, Scully's wardrobe is a neverending unexplained phenomenon of bad, mismatched suits, many with shoulder pads designed to make tiny Gillian Anderson look like a football player. It's sort of a fashion X-File.

I give Chris Carter a lot of crap -- I'm sure you've seen me do it -- but I will always appreciate him for making Scully so kickass as early as the second episode. She was never conceived as Mulder's Girl Friday. And she runs in heels.;) As for Mulder, he is charming. It's easy to understand why Scully, despite her rationality, is drawn to him and his work.

Gillian Anderson: so pretty!

This is an appropriate reaction to virtually every episode.

Aw, poor Mulder.

This is an appropriate reaction to virtually 50% of the episodes. Maybe 60%.

A four foot tall football player. Ugh! I'm relieved to hear it gets better.

She totally rode in on her horse in her government-issued Pontiac and saved him.

It's amazing how far Mulder seems to be able to bring people along with him based on the sheer force of his personality. But he clearly twigged to Scully's MO right away, and he respects it--he makes his arguments in her language, in terms of evidence, and that's also very powerful.
