Ok, the bacon alarm clock is amazing. But I bet it doesn't make very crispy bacon, which is how I like mine. Heh.

It probably depends on whether there's adequate room for the fat to drain. 10 minutes doesn't seem like quite enough crisping time, though, it's true.

(And, obviously, while he had a pretty good handle on what Vala would have become, he fatally underestimated Qetesh. Oops.)

One thing I really liked about CB's portrayal of Qetesh was how... non-sexual it was. Qetesh wasn't interested in vamping her way through evilhood; when she made her move she just made it, no playing around.

Yeah, I really liked that approach, and I also really liked how relatively restrained and complicated all of Qetesh's interactions with Baal were before that point, at least for a Goa'uld. (These are, after all, beings who delight in shouting "MWA HA HA, let me describe my evil plan!" while wearing gold lame.) She was obviously going along to get along, but it wasn't until she talked about how Baal had kept her by his side for fifty years that it clicked into place that she was more or less a prisoner too, and making the best of it. She wasn't gloating; she was angry.

I really enjoyed Continuum. (Hello!) It was so much better than AoT, it's hard to comprehend it was made by the same people.

Just a quick note about CB: she was rather pregnant at the time, which is one reason why we didn't get more Vala, I suspect. And it also explains the rather unfortunate tent dress she was wearing.

Daniel calling himself was physically painful to watch, I have to admit. But also hysterical.

And BB's accent as the "British" ship captain made me laugh and laugh, and gave me terrible "A Bug's Life" flashbacks.

I was wondering about that. It does explain rather a lot, including that dress and the blocking of the shots she was in with the rest of the team.

And BB's accent as the "British" ship captain made me laugh and laugh, and gave me terrible "A Bug's Life" flashbacks.

Was "British" what he was trying to go for there? Hm!
