It was a really minor role, and nothing interesting happened, so unless you have a burning desire to see everything she's ever been in, I think it's safe to give it a pass.
Re: Moonlight, I'm glad I forgot to record it on my DVR (and you know, I never thought I'd ever say that about CB). From the clips and pictures I've seen I agree with you, the entire thing was very unflattering.
Since it was such a brief appearance and minor role, and since it was surrounded by so much crappy episode, there just wasn't much there to see. (And WTF, makeup people?!?) Personally, I want that hour of my life back, though my annoyance is directed entirely at Moonlight, not at CB.
We finally see why Laura has held herself apart: in assuming the burden of carrying the entire fate of the fleet in her hands, she has lost her understanding for the people she's actually trying to protect.
You put things so much better than I do. This is why I hate you. ;p
I just watched Moonlight today, and enjoyed it. CB's role was barely worth mentioning, sadly, but I didn't really expect it to give her much to work with. I'm rather sorry it won't be renewed.
RE Moonlight: I was annoyed that her character didn't show up until almost 45 minutes in and then I didn't recognize her at first! All the pre-ep info made it seem like a bigger part. Dammit.
Also I don't understand why they didn't have her speak with her own accent; it's set in LA, where a non-American accent wouldn't be in any way unusual, and also she played a vampire, who have long life spans and therefore probably live lots of places.
I hadn't heard much about the role (other than vaguely knowing what cleaners are), so I don't know what I was expecting. That was not it, though. And ITA about the accent!
Yesterday I read a recap somewhere (recapist.com perhaps?) that specifically used the word recast when referring to CB as The Cleaner, so perhaps another actress played the role in previous eps, and they tried to make CB look & sound like her? I hope that was the reason; otherwise it's rather silly. Oh if only we ran TeeVeeLand!! heee
Could be. I seem to remember skimming something about her being the third actress to play the role in the series, with the connotation that none of the others had stuck. So maybe they were at least trying to keep continuity with the other cleaners, if not actually make an actual switch?
