I had the same question while scratching my head over the news. The action, such as it is, of the novel is little more than a backdrop for the interior drama, and that's not really something you can film outright.

Making "The Road" into a movie? Will they have Prozac at the popcorn counter?

That's probably not a bad idea.

I was surfing the Internet with half an eye during the final fight, which is probably not a good sign.

Me too! Actually, I spent a lot of time on the net during this. I was also incredibly distracted by half the cast of BSG being in the damn thing. Yes, they are all fine actors, but, David, look outside your comfort zone.

I really hope the boyfriend is dead. Creepy, boring, and can't act - a definitely fatal combination.

That's probably another thing we're not supposed to root for--the death of the boyfriend. *sigh*

I agree -the episode would have been tighter and more awesome with only thirty minutes. Ah well. I *loved* all the Dwight/Angela stuff and of course the Pam/Jim bits. Oh heck, I loved it all. Maybe just squished together a bit more.

Also? The Road as a movie perplexes me. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Pretty distraught I think.

I just adore Dwight and Angela's relationship, so I'm both distressed and intrigued by the idea of conflict. I... don't think crossing Angela is a good idea, actually, and I suspect Dwight is going to discover that the hard way.

I have such a hard time imagining how they'll pull this off. And no, I don't think casting Viggo Mortensen is in and of itself enough.
