You are not a looser, and you will find something. It's just that no one is hiring right now. If they are hiring, they're a company you don't really want to be working for.

Providence is a really good idea! And it's not so far that it wouldn't be easy for you to come back to Boston if you want. Or if you really like Providence you could stay there and commute sometimes!

At this point, take ANY job you can get with decent pay, even if it's the kind of place you don't want to be working for. Desperate times call for desperate measures! You're lucky that there are always tons of open positions in the culinary field, which traditionally has high turnover.

Keep at it! Even apply for the jobs you don't think you're qualified for - you never know! And apply for the jobs you wouldn't otherwise want, if the pay and proximity are right; if you want to stay in the area, you gotta do what you gotta do, and you can still keep looking for a better job.

Send out at least 10 job apps a day! And try to reply to just as many apartment ads!

Looking for any job right now is an alright thing to do... because while you're working to just pay bills and avoid having to go to your mom's, you can continue looking for your dream job. Just don't ever stop looking for the dream job because you deserve it!! You are an amazing person and an amazing cook and any fine dining establishment would be lucky to have you on board.

Mom's are sometimes good for pointing out shortcomings and sometimes (a lot of the time?) forgetting to point out everything awesome about us. Luckily you have some good friends who care about you profusely!

Right now I'm kind of broke and not getting down to the city for non-club things as much as I'd like, but I genuinely mean it everytime I say we should try to find a night to get together.

As you know, Providence is beautiful, not too far away, and is a good option to keep open.

*big hugs*
You should have my new number (and my email!) if you ever need to talk, rant, whatever.

It's really easy to get frustrated, especially with all the panic that's going on in the world. Make yourself a to do list and cross things out so that you can see you are accomplishing something.

At times like these I forget to do simple stuff like this.

The goings on in the world make me want to build a hut in the backwoods at my Mom's and write a Manifesto.
