No Dough, Boys

So I found this recipe for donuts last night (since I don't have an oven and can't bake anything, I figured donuts would be a good workaround), and I'm going to go buy the ingredients tomorrow night after work. I feel so giddy. I just want to make them. Man, I'm such a fucking dork

Why are you a dork for wanting to make doughnuts? There are all sorts of things you can do with a basic doughnut to make it into another type of doughnut. My personal favorites have always been glazed doughnuts, and I just learned a few years back (doesn't seem like it) at the bakery that the glaze is really just powdered sugar and water. But it's all kinds of tasty to me.

Too bad I can't be around to help out. I learned a few tricks on icing them. It would be kind of fun to do so again.

Yeah...the recipe includes recipes for vanilla and chocolate glazes. I think they mean the icing, but yeah. Powdered sugar and water you say? Seems easy enough.

And yeah, I noticed that guy too. Lulz.

That's what I was told, and given how it set up and tasted, I'd believe it. If I were making it, I'd probably add a touch of vanilla extract though, since it always enhances flavor. Just don't overdo it with the water. ;)

Man, I wish I could just invade your place while you're making doughnuts! I miss actually doing things like baking and cooking a lot.
