I'm mad that they seem to push any young female being on the show (Jo, Ava) as a love intrest. I don't see Dean/Jo as really happening, and definetly not any time soon, but I love the idea of a female hunter. Having a crush on Dean I can't blame her for, because...hell, he's Dean. But I like Jo in spite of all of that.

This episode hit all the right notes for me. It rocked.

(But I agree with the shirtless Jensen. Yes.)

Seriously, Dean Whump Fest '07.

I too wanted naked Dean, damnit. As for him not screaming, I kind of took that scene as she had already removed the bullet or was almost down doing it, so the "yelling" and worst of the pain happened off screen. Obviously he was in a lot of pain though, because I can't see Dean just taking pills like that if it wasn't bad.

The dark side knows for sure now that there's no way in hell that Dean can, or ever will, kill Sam.I'll have to disagree with you there. (Feel free to tell me I'm stupid, but I won't change my mind. heh) Unless I missed this dialogue somewhere, Dean didn't say that he would *never* kill Sam. He would just make sure to save him first and if he couldn't... In this episode, Sam never did anything unredeemable in Dean's eyes. But if Sam got to Evil Let's Destory the World level... that's a different story. If EvilSam started hurting innocents (say, a bus full of children... heehee) I could see Dean killing Sam, if he couldn't save him. I mean, he seemed pretty ready to stop Sam in " ( ... )

Jared does creepy ass evil pretty well

i have to agree with you there. the thing with the knife and the hair was insanely awesome.
i think it's really funny how Dean's inability to kill his little brother is characterized as a personality flaw.
everything about this show reminds me of The X-files.

I don't think Dean's inability to kill Sam is a personality flaw, but it could eventually be a major liability. I don't want him to have to kill Sam, but (for example) if his future really was out of his hands and Dean was all that stood between Sam and something like the end of the world, would he be able to do what he had to in order to save everyone else? I don't know that he could, and in that case it would be a problem.

Of course, this is TV, so he would probably come up with some way to miraculously fix whatever was wrong with him, just when you thought he would have to die. That's how they always do it. lol

So I understand completely that Dean has to explore every single possibility (possession, shapeshifters, mind control...) before he pulls the trigger. But I just don't know if he could do it even if he knew he had no other choice. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that, but they sure do talk about it a lot lately.
