I just don't know if I can participate in the Smallville fandom anymore. What's the use? Even if I keep watching the show or not, trying to get a message to AlMiles is like banging your head against a brick wall. And it never gives, it never comes down

Look at it this way, if they did give us what we wanted, they would only screw it up. The Clana is suppose to be this all incompassing love story but it watches as more of a train wreck.

I left Smallville after episode 2 this season for the very reasons you state. I want Chlark, but....they doesn't seem possible, and worse, the rest of the show doesn't appeal to Me. So I left.
I fell in love with The Office, aired at 8:30 Thursdays.
In 30 minutes, The Office gives Me more fun and joy than Smallville gave Me in an hour, or even a season. There is no reason not to watch something that isn't enjoyable; storylines can have angst, viewership? Not so much.
I recommend The Office. I switched and never looked back.
