I love Jim and Pam. They are just such a real couple. I was really glad when they finally got together because the progression of their relationship was very organic. Jim seems like somebody I would have been really good friends with, if he worked here, and Pam, I would probably not be friends with her (she seems to be about as aloof as I am) but I would totally encourage her to dump Roy and get with Jim. (I guess that makes me ... Phyllis? Ack!!)

Chloe Sullivan is my absolute favorite high-school fictional character of all time, for SV Seasons 1 and 3. Especially in the Pilot and for most of S1. I remember being very much like her in high school, I related to her so well (as evidenced by all the fanfic I wrote during that time period!).

I have to think about my favorite characters in books. This is a good question, maybe I'll answer it in my own journal!

now i love Buffy Summers. but i have to say that i agree with you totally. i don't think she ever appreciated how much everyone around her gave and sacrificed and gave their all to help her. and eventually she came to feel entitled to thier constant and relentless devotion to her. such that whenever their devotion wavered even slightly she felt deeply betrayed.

i would never call her a bitch but she was definetely spoiled in love and never seemed to reflect on how lucky that made her. of course, this sort of self-centeredness is perhaps inevitable when a person knows that she is the most important person in the world.
