The Things That Sustain Them, although I think it can stand alone as well. (It also exists in the same universe as my first STXI story,

I like the style very, very much - and this even surprises me as I usually don't like the use of parentheses but here it's the first time I understand and appreciate it. I read the wonderful poem first and maybe that's why.

This was wonderful, and so well constructed, and very original (I'm also posting today and now feeling a little out-classed :P). I really like the use of parenthesis and the continued structureing device of the story refrences is really nice.
