FIC: You Are Whatever A Moon Has Always Meant (STXI, PG13)

Dec 23, 2009 00:24

This story was written for the 2009 K/S Advent Calendar (ksadvent2009) as an epilogue to my holiday story, The Things That Sustain Them, although I think it can stand alone as well. (It also exists in the same universe as my first STXI story, The Things You See and The Way You See Them, because that made sense to me. Apparently I wrote a triptych. Who knew ( Read more... )

It is so so sweet!
I like the style very, very much - and this even surprises me as I usually don't like the use of parentheses but here it's the first time I understand and appreciate it. I read the wonderful poem first and maybe that's why.
The way you speak about their story...such a good idea!!
Anyway, thank you very much for the story and the posted poem. It IS lovely, both are.
"you are whatever a moon has always meant" ...my heart melts, honestly...

This is absolutely lovely! I'm not familiar with the poem but I do know 'The Bridge of San Luis Rey' very well, it's one of my fave-rate books.

This was wonderful, and so well constructed, and very original (I'm also posting today and now feeling a little out-classed :P). I really like the use of parenthesis and the continued structureing device of the story refrences is really nice.

Love this :D

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment! I really appreciate your lovely feedback, especially your words about the use of parentheses and the overall structure of the piece -- I wrestled and fussed over both for a long time (my poor betas suffered!). Thanks again.

I just read this poem and was thinking of it as I read. (Braintwin. Scary.)

I love this dearly. Utterly beautiful.
