I've made note of the address and plan to call when we return to her house.

I honestly think animal abuse is just as bad as any other major offense. Ugh. I can't even.

Why do people do that? I'm wish people had to apply for a license and prove themselves responsible before obtaining animals.

I keep seeing stories like that on the news and it is so disheartening. One guy just dropped his horse off at a golf course in the middle of the night, because apparently there's more than one way to be an asshole.

I second that calling of animal services.

At least leaving the horse at a golf course someone will SEE him/her. I can just see those poor things behind that abandoned house all alone and unknown.

Am going to do so, ASAP.

It is utterly imcomprehensible that people can just . . . not care.

You hear a lot of stories like that these days. I've been following the fuglyhorseoftheday blog since the beginning and she's more than once brought it up, but it's starting to hit the papers as the foreclosures ripple outward -- animals are being dumped at an unbelievable rate. It's tragic. I'm glad someone was bringing those horses pellets, and that you've reported the situation. At least THESE three won't starve or get sick or hurt without anyone knowing. Thank you.

That is so not right. Thank you for calling the police and planning to contact animal services. It makes my heart hurt to think of abandoned animals fending for themselves.
