I've been thinking of my beta style recently, how it works for some authors but really doesn't work for others. Rather than ask individuals about their preferences, I've posted a poll.

I admittedly don't take direction well. If someone asks me to do a quick read for spelling and grammar, an email/some form of correspondence will inevitably come back with "here are the teeny errors, but MORE IMPORTANTLY change these words and fix the word order of that sentence and what's with this bit? What's going on there?"

Some people are all, "Dude, I only asked you to look for comma splices. Don't make me take out the taser."

Where is my "William Beckett" option on that last one? ALL OF THE OTHERS HAD CHOOSE-YOUR-OWN-OPTION ANSWERS. :-P
