Arthur tasted just like waking up in the middle of the night, dying for nothing more than a glass of water. You drank and drank of it and even though you knew it was such an ordinary taste you also knew you had never tasted anything better in your entire life.

That... is simply beautiful. I love your characterisation. I love how guarded they both are, and I love the painful realities of their relationship.

Also, I love that there is MORE! *runs off to part 3*
