This time around I left the organizational issues to Jeff.  Yes, we had some discussions about the theme - a specific region of Scotland, World Single Malts, a vertical tasting (and if so, which distillery), etc., etc. - but I let him make the decisions (although I offered my place as the location since his condo is quite small).  In late September

Sounds like an expensive night. My wife took a buyout and is not working at the moment so I've had to curb my spending significantly, which is sad because they've had some really decent sales on at the LCBO lately.

Had it been just me and two or three other people, yes, it would have been a very expensive night. Thankfully we had 11 people to share the costs, so overall it was relatively cheap (relatively being the operative word...).

If you're ever in our fair nation's capital at some point, feel free to give me a shout and we'll have to arrange to meet for a dram (or better yet, see if you could make to one of our tasting events...)

My sister-in-law (a CBC radio host) used to live 2 blocks from the Parliament buildings and so I'd visited a few times. Now that she's in Kelowna, my Ottawa trips have diminished. Even still, thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it!
