This I Believe

So for those of you out there who have McDowell already know, we have an essay due next week which follows the setting of the series "This I Believe" on NPR. Essentially, people send in short essays about things they believed in to NPR, which then broadcasts them. The topics range from political issues to superstitions concerning monkeys. my favorites:
That an “Us against Them” mentality is the major problem with American politics
That everyone has a story to tell
That it’s never too late
That childhood is too quickly abandoned
That cookies n’ cream is the best flavor of ice cream
That technology is destroying humanity

and of these, my top two, since i guess a list of six isn't that helpful:

I like:
That Santa Claus is real
That history is very much alive

I like the history one better, but that's because I'm more like that. But I think you could make any of those topics really good.
