The Showbox has been sold to corporate America

Seattle's Showbox theaters were just sold to AEG, a subsidiary of the Anschutz Company, one, if not the, largest sports and entertainment presenter corporations in the world. Well, I do have to say the Showbox was already pretty lame, but it will only get worse. For the Pogues we had to go through long security lines to get in and then again to get into the bar, full patdowns and purse searches at the door, and and they were charging $4 for a can of Pabst.

I'm guessing there will be little noticible difference in the acts booked at either of the Showbox locations.
