Hi! I'm one of the people that didn't get in, and that's cool. Kind of bummed because I think you are all a really fun group and it sucks to miss out on the fun that seems to go on behind the scenes. (Speakeasy AU? Huh? What?) Ah well.

I was wondering if it might be possible to know why I wasn't accepted? Just so maybe next time I can improve on something? Like, maybe I haven't written enough in the fandom or something, or just that my writing wasn't of a high enough quality. Or you didn't like the pictures I chose. (LOL) Just wondering because I feel like I missed an opportunity here and was wondering what I could do differently next time.

(LOL I sound like this was a job interview or something. O.o)

I just went back and looked at your app and reread your FOB story and to be honest with you, I'm not sure why you weren't on the in-list; it's not the high enough quality writing thing, because that's definitely decent writing. I know we had decided to keep the numbers really low right now to give everyone a chance to participate more on the unlocked posts, see how that goes, and then open it up again for a few more spots in a month or so.

Er, either that, or we're just waiting for your fic on Patrick's sexy secrets. :D

So...thanks for replying even if that was sort of a ... strange answer. I hope I'll be considered whenever you open up membership again. I guess there were just too many applicants this time, and some were very good.

I did notice that it was originally said that you were inviting about 15 people and it looks like less than that got in so hopefully it goes well and a few more spots open soon. :D

You're right, we did renege on the 15 people, that is true. But I'm sure more spots will open up soon, and yes, please please do apply again. :)

I'm thinking maybe a locked post listing the new members would be useful. I scanned through the community's info page but some people I'm not sure if they're new or just not very vocal. It might be cool to have a chance to say hi to new members and squee in their general direction or invite them to reply to the post with any questions they have so that they can start famililarizing themselves with the community's resources and members.

Why yes, I did just have new student orientation a few weeks ago, if you can't tell from the use of the word "resources." As usual, keep up with the general modly awesome, k?
