I'm going to the GCH and CobraStarship show at Slims in San Francisco. I was wondering if anyone else was coming. It's Oct. 11. 7:30pm and $13. Be there or be square!
I'm trying to decide between The Boardwalk in Orangevale and Slim's in San Fran. I live a couple of hours north of both. Have any of you been to those venues before?
i'd say they're both roughly the same size. the stage might be a little lower at orangevale? in any case, i like both venues. orangevale is kinda out in the cuts, while slim's is total city driving in a neighborhood that gets a little sketchy at night, but i suppose that can go for all of san francisco. parking might be a bit easier in orangevale, if you get there early.
Thanks for replying. I'll probably go to the Orangevale show then. It's a little closer to me. I'm sorry to bother you again, but do you know about how long it takes to get to The Boardwalk from Sac? I'm driving down after work and it's already a 2.5 hour drive to Sac so I'm terrified of not planning enough time. lol
Cobra Starship's not playing the Boardwalk show anymore, it's just going to be Gym Class. I don't know why, but that's what tickets.com told me, and Gabe took the show off of his schedule on myspace. So if you're just wanting to see Gym Class Heroes, then Orangevale's your ticket. But if you really want to see Cobra Starship, I'd go to Slim's. I live in Sacramento and I'll be going, you should come! And for future reference, Orangevale is pretty much Sacramento, it's just a couple miles out. My email is twohundredcouches at gmail, drop me a line if you need tips getting around either venue, I'm from the area so I can help!

I am thinking of making a shirt but I am not sure of what. Maybe "Travis, you're in my top eight"
Or on the front "indie rock chick" and on the back "hip hop chick"
Any suggestions?
