Oh, Dudley...!

This is really sweet. And this reunion was, IMO, rather conspicuously absent from the book, so I'm very happy to see it here.

I can understand why JKR didn't go into it -- if you start with one of these, then you kinda have to keep going and you end up like LotR with 80 bajillion "endings". LOL. Plus, this way I got to write it! :D

That's an excellent point. And yes, there most definitely is hope for Dudley. :) And yes, we don't want to have several million endings. So I can understand not going through every single thing. But that interaction still makes the book just a little more 'complete' to me.

That was great. I will admit, I hadn't thought about the Dursleys at the end (I was too caught up thinking about R/S in the afterlife ;)) but the way you've written Dudley, it's really touching but still so wonderfully in character. Thanks, I really enjoyed this.
