Down the Line.
:: Peirsol/Crocker, Swim Slash, R

A/N:: Finally! I wrote some AP/IC! LOL. Prompt by tragycbeauty, Aaron breaks world records, Ian calls to congratulate him and it all goes downhill from there. Phone sex, plain and simple. Ian should be accordingly affronted by it. I hope this hits your buttons, dearest, because I know you've been waiting long ( Read more... )

Ahhhh, I love it =D

The fact that Ian still managed to seem so innocent was the best part, in my opinion. I can totally picture him blushing and being all cute and awkward and that's what I love about him.

I seem to remeber reading that we were allowed to hound you, however, so now I'm waiting patiently for the epic, filthy smutness that should be coming my way when Aaron turns on Matt -wink-

I can totally see Ian blushing, lol. I actually had him blush more in this story, but was told that it made him a bit feminine when overdone, haha. So some came out.

And LOL yes, allowed to hound, and please. Matt and Aaron is actually what I'm working on now... things are just coming slower since my during my prime writing hours I'm looking up prelim times and watching finals, heh. But, um... well. It's kinda coming out more Matt/Aaron than Aaron/Matt. Just because Aaron's so laid back and Matt's so tall...

^_^;;;;;;;;

But I'm trying to make it filthy! And corrupting! I promise!

Haha, Aaron's supposed to be punishing Matt for almost beating him! Aaron needs to put him in his place!

Ahhhhhh I'm seriously really crying right now, those last lines just got to me.
I absolutely adore how you carried the love through in everything they did and said, even when they were talking about the weather.
It was all so perfect, especially after what happened with Aaron today (even though I couldn't help wondering what the call after that race would be like).
Thank you, this was so, so worth it <3

It was a little weird, honestly, writing Ian and Aaron after writing Mike and Ryan... completely different dynamic, which is why I think it stumped me when I started writing it in Indy. But once I got into it, it felt very natural to use the "I miss this," and "I love this," lines...

In the end I really did enjoy writing them. I have a bit of a hard time sexualizing Ian, lol. But they work well together, at least in my head. ^^ So hopefully there will be more of them to come when I need a break from all the other angst and just wanna zen. <3

I noticed the difference in dynamic between them when I first started reading, I think I was just so used to how you write Mike and Ryan that it was a little jarring to see something so much more openly emotional.
I'm really glad you liked writing them and that they work well together for you. I was a bit worried that you would come out of this thinking it was weird and never touch them again. That being said I am so looking forward to any future stories with them. :)

LOL if I felt that weird about it this would have never gotten finished. ^^ By the end I was pretty comfortable with these boys. *Pets them* Now I might have to dig up the old Texas Exes stories I started in Beijing and never finished...

This was exactly what I needed to read after getting the heartbreaking news about Aaron in the 100. More and more I am so happy about FINA's decision. I could care less what the corporations think. And while he may chalk it up to a 'miscalculation,' when he's one of maybe two in just legs and doesn't even qualify, I think it's clear the damage has already been done.

BUT back to the story. You nailed everything I find appealing in this couple - Ian's disposition, Aaron's humor and personality and that working dynamic. I loved it! It was so cute and sweet, but was still hot and even romantic! Ian's last line slayed me. SLAYED me. Good work!

I do honestly think that the suits are mostly-money driven and I'm so glad that they're getting the boot... That being said, I don't think they contributed to Aaron's disappointing run today. He was one of one in legs at Indy--even against Ryan--and he broke the WR. Not that it couldn't have been a combination of factors, but I think he was off his game.

But you're right in general. The amount of WR's going down--and by those in suits, everyone--is ridiculous.

^_^

I'm happy you enjoyed! The story originally stopped with Ian's tongue in cheek about the weather talk turning him on... everything after that was added on edit, and I'm glad to know that it did good. <3

I'm retarded. I meant to say "even against Matt" and Nick, for that matter. And did jerkface Clary swim that event? I can't remember. ^_^ I've got Ryan on the brain lately...

I can't remember if Clary swam or not and I can never seem to find the heat sheets after the fact. Nice name though - jerkface Clary has a good ring to it.

Is there a sweeter pair than these two? :) Even when they're smutting it up, they still invoke an "awwww"!

I missed Aaron's race and post-race interview today, but there was so much commotion among my Twitter friends that I am really curious about what happened.

Aaron went 53.22 in the 2nd semifinal heat, which put him 9th overall and not into the finals. He said it was a "miscaluation" on his part, and he looked a little like, shellshocked, after the race in the pool. People are, of course, blaming the suits for making the field deep and semi's faster... and he was only in legs, but they were X-glide legs and he's the goddamn champ in that event, so.

The truth is, 53.22 is a good 1.5 seconds slower than the WR he set in Indy. His whole heat was slow, really, with only 1st place going sub-53. I was worried about Grevers making the final from heat 1 with a 52.82, but he ended up seeded 5th in the final! It was a weird, weird two races. That's all I can say.

But I'm glad you liked the story. ^^ I'm glad that the sweetness came through, because that's really how they speak to me, like very caring induviduals. Even after everything today, Aaron made no excuses and was very gracious, saying that "everyone was wearing a suit," and that didn't factor in to his time.

*Thud* I've said a hundred times before you're an amazing talent! I agree with everyone else too that you managed to keep Ian sweet and innocent yet sexy at the same time!!!

I'm glad you're taken the charge in your fics lately about those damn suits!!! I'm still not sure what to think about Aaron today! Like you say, he was off his own time but I can't help but wonder?! I'm with Banana Hammock Boy! What a nut he is!!

BTW, I'm Lacy, I was in Indy for a couple of days and I only got to met a few LJ fans but I had such a blast that hopefully I'll get to meet more in the future!

LOL, I can't seem to get *away* from the suits in my fic! I worry that it's a bit like beating a dead horse, honestly. But thank you, thank you. <3

I'm with Ryan, too--wouldn't mind the ol Banana Hammocks one bit. ^_^ Bring em on!!

I don't think suit mentions in fics currently are beating a dead horse, because it's all anyone is talking about for real! The swimmers themselves are Twittering about how they're so over talking about and hearing about the suits. As sick as we get of it, they must be that times 100. So it stands to reason they would play a role in your stories set during this timeframe.
