So far solteronita, stopword, and I are in for the hike & beer dinner tomorrow. Anyone else? Destination?

A Coastal hike was brought up. Cannon Beach is supposed to be 63°F (wtf global warming?!) and mostly sunny tomorrow. To get an idea for the Gorge, Bridal Veil will be 75°F and partly cloudy. I really have no preference. Are there any hikes someone has been ( Read more... )

I haven't seen the ocean for a while, but it's a long drive.

I'm not very helpful. :D Is Ecola State Park worth the drive?

I don't think the drive will be too bad if we stick to the Cannon Beach-Seaside area.

I've driven by Ecola but haven't been inside it yet. I've hiked Cape Falcon, which is in the same area. IIRC, it's 4 or 5 miles with moderate elevation change.

I'm undecided on joining the hike tomorrow. I might need to take a breather in town. I'm feeling a bit pukey today. I'll see how I'm feeling later this evening.
