Okay. So, those of you who have my Facebook know this already, but I've very recently gotten into Torchwood/Doctor Who (TW first then DW - backwards, I know). I've watched seasons 1&2 of TW and 1-3 of DW plus the first episode of season four, aka Voyage of the Damned

I've just gotten into Doctor Who as well! Double trouble :) But only the Eleven seasons so far for me, so I can't high-five you on your brilliant realization re: Astrid/Tardis :'(
