Hello everyone! It’s time for one of those character survey threads. :D
Following Kaworu’s M-U, his A.T. field has become unstable. An A.T. field is a force field that protects an individual’s identity, and represents the emotional space that other people aren’t allowed into. When he touches another patient (skin-on-skin contact), it’ll short out for a few seconds. What this means is that Kaworu will temporarily lose his identity, and feel what it’s like to be the character he’s just touched.
What I need to know is: How does it feel to be your character(s)?
How do they see themselves? What are their major concerns and emotions? How do they believe they fit in with other people and the world at large? This is strictly emotional information, and should contain very few specifics. So if there’s another person who is a large part of their identity, Kaworu won’t get their name, but rather the emotions associated with them. So, a person they love, or hate, or are protective of, or are attracted to, etc. Additionally, Kaworu might pick up on things that the other character feels, but isn't totally aware of, is in denial about, or doesn't completely understand.
So, for instance, if Kaworu were to touch Howl, he would feel how disconnected Howl is from other people. How he fears them, and his unwillingness to commit or get caught in any situation where they depend upon him. He’d also feel how selfish Howl is, and how little he truly considers others. The conflict between his arrogance and his self-loathing. How he feels incomplete, and is dreading the future. His conflicted feelings for someone whose attention he desperately wants, and that he's falling in love with them even if he doesn't realize it. AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.
He wouldn’t get any specific information about Howl actually being from Wales, that he’s a wizard, that he has no heart, or who Calcifer and Sophie are. He would only get how he feels about these things.
You can be as tl;dr as you like! In fact, the more info, the better. I would hate to misunderstand anything.
As a disclaimer, I will never, ever initiate this without your express permission, and before anything happens I’ll need to talk to you about any current emotional state that should be taken into consideration. Kaworu will never use this information against your character. However, he probably will want to talk about whatever he just felt, so keep that in mind if you don’t (or do) want to make your character have a conversation about their emotional issues.
