History ClubGood morning, everyone. It seems yesterday we had quite the commotion, but now it's back to the way it used to be, hm? A bit unfortunate, but at least we know what to expect

Only a mention that applying to your club is a possibility I should consider, as it is inadvisable to venture out on one's own at night. I am, unfortunately, new here.
Oh, well, let me welcome you first. I wish I could say I hope you enjoy your stay, but well, you know how it is.
It is indeed unwise to go out unprepared at night. Our club is focused on studying the more militaristic side of history - specifically those that apply to battles, strategy and weaponry. Knowledge of modern warfare is encouraged, but most of the members have a deeper understanding of the older eras so it is not required. Interest in active and engaging exploration into the more dangerous side of history is often requested of our members, so those unwilling to get a little dirty might not be the best suited.

I can't help but be curious about this 'club' of yours. I took the liberty of reading through some of the replies to your post and I find the purpose of this club coincides with my interests. Are there other clubs besides yours?
There are, some are less vocal than others. Arts and Crafts has less military-inclined studies and Search and Rescue is, as the name suggests, involved in studying rescue techniques. The medical team (as of yet unnamed) is also looking for qualified members.
If you are still interested in History Club, do let me know. If our interests coincide, perhaps we can be of use to one another.

I see. Thank you for your information. I am interested, but I still have some questions before I decide whether or not to dedicate myself to your purpose.
What sorts of uses would your club provide for me that the other clubs perhaps wouldn't? And as a club member, what would be expected of me?
And finally, something a little less relevant perhaps. The name you are using. A pseudonym of sorts?
What is expected of you is to do as we ask and to be willing to study some of the more violent periods of history. Some here are not capable or willing to study fighting techniques, thus making it difficult to place them in such an active club as ourselves. We expect much of our members when it comes to study, although we can place you with someone else who is new to ease you into our study groups.
And my name is my own. I suppose you could call it a pseudonym, although only because I rarely use it.

I'll be posting in the afternoon to let you know, but as of now, I'm thinking there is more to the upstairs than meets the eye.
