I am curious; does anyone here know of a way to concoct a blood substitute? My mind for chemistry is limited to specific fields outside of the medical.

My work in that area has been mostly theoretical. What is it you're looking to accomplish with something like that?

It is more than a passing curiosity, but going into detail may compromise an individual's safety. Put simply, I suppose we could say I am hoping to help someone who is constantly in need for transfusions.
