I have only woken up this afternoon. Could someone kindly tell me what kind of place this is? The nurse says I am here because I am sick, but while outside I have heard some ominous rumors about what happens during nighttime. I think this place is not what it appears to be, but I would appreciate some confirmation so preparations can be made

Sounds like you got a little of the story. This place isn't anything like it seems. The doctors will try to convince you that you're someone else - don't listen to 'em. They're not worth the time.

Things get more interesting at night. They'll unlock your door after dinner. If you decide to go out searching, don't go alone. There are monsters in the halls and whatever power you might be used to, I can almost guarantee it's been weakened or eliminated.

I haven't seen your friend. A bit of friendly advice? You're better off hoping she's not here.

The power I currently have may be useless if Lady Achea is still alive (or so I hope). However, if there is another adilraid who has not yet made a contract with a human, I could figure something out, despite how weakened we would be. Is there any place I could go for weapons, especially throwing knives?

Perhaps my roommate and I will go explore the halls after dinner. If Lady Achea is not here, then I must leave as soon as possible.

The one I got seemed like a nice guy. I don't think he knew much about this place though. I've heard there are some shady ones but you won't have to worry about it until 'therapy'.

If there are any around, they'll probably respond to this. Your best bet for knives is the kitchen.
