Night 52: M-A Block Hallway

Oct 12, 2010 07:04

[From here]"Hmmm..." Goku walked down the hallway with short steps, stubby arms crossed over his chest, as he wandered down the dismally dark corridor that seemed to just continue on forever. This was where he had met Spock last night, but he couldn't really sense anyone else in the hall with him. He took another sniff, but decided to just keep ( Read more... )

((From here.))As Spock approached the next hallway, he allowed his beam to illuminate his path. There was no one here, perhaps as a result of his prompt exit from his quarters. Yet Spock knew he needed to remain on guard, just like every night here. Considering the ominous message he had heard as nightshift began, that was especially important now ( ... )

[From here.]All Peter had to do was get himself down to the main hallway, by the stairs. He was bound to find someone else there who was at a loss for what to do with the night, and then he could try to recruit them to go up to the pharmacy. Who didn't want medical supplies, after all? Everyone here got injured, and any average Joe could at least try to do some basic bandaging. It wouldn't be as tight or well-done if it wasn't a professional, but it was better than nothing ( ... )

As Sora traveled, he also thought about what he and his two team members for the night would do if the radio didn't go off. It wasn't like there was a guarantee that Marc was going to talk to them every night, after all, and so he had to have some sort of back-up plan. He figured they could either put their heads together to decide on the place that they needed to explore most, or... maybe they could even try to track down a Special Counseling patient and knock them out ( ... )

Unlike his previous experience the hallway seemed to hold signs of life, and even though he hadn't actually spotted anyone there was still the brief flicker of light disappearing behind a door or the patter of slippers on the floor. Austria kept to close to the wall out of his own safety, but other than that his gaze remained forward.

If this was real as opposed to another dream, then the disorganization and opportunity to let patients roam was certainly something to frown at. Had they ever had the chance to reestablish relations, the aristocrat planned to chide Prussia for his poor execution.

Though Ludwig had started out strongly, when he came to the end of the hall, he found his steps faltering. For a brief moment, he could have sworn that he saw something. A flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye. A shadow cast, maybe by something or someone moving behind him? Yet when he turned his head, he couldn't see anyone coming down his way. And the shadow was normal as well, just his own shadow cast by the surprising amount of light.

That same light made him see Roderich faster this time, and Ludwig soon walked up to the man. Hopefully the day had given him some cause to reconsider his position and act in a more pragmatic manner, but he certainly wasn't going to believe that his luck had changed that much. No, he was braced for a difficult negotiation, and hence he stood stiffly at attention when he spoke. "Roderich. It's good to see you again."

Austria had reached the door by the time the intercom came to life a second time, violet eyes trailing up to the ceiling as soon as the Head Doctor's voice could be heard through the speakers. There was that same ominous tone, chiding and threatening as he went about his announcement, the contents disturbing enough to grasp anyone's attention. However, before the nation could even begin to wonder if there was actual torture involved, the lights above him suddenly came to life ( ... )

Yes, the intercom announcement had put Ludwig on edge, and the shadows had done even more in that regard. He didn't like things he couldn't understand, and the fact that they were maddeningly elusive only made things worse for him. And there were so many other nations here, potentially facing dangers of their own... it was frustrating. But he had a task to complete, and he'd do it. Whether Austria liked it or not ( ... )

Kirk hadn't yet stepped foot in this particular block, but unsurprisingly, found it looked pretty much identical to his and Chekov's blocks. He was tempted for a moment to take a quick peek into the ladies' quarter, just to see how the fairer sex lived, but knew Uhura had to be well on her way by now. Their meeting place fell within high-traffic areas, which Kirk was counting on to keep her out of harm's way until he found her, but knew that the main hallway would clear up soon enough. He had to hurry.
