Night 51: M1-M10 Hallway

Aug 28, 2010 19:26

A week. It had been an entire week since Haseo had been dragged from his room after dinner and taken upstairs for experimentation. It wasn't until the staff had brought that dinner again that the Adept Rogue realized the complete significance of what he'd been trudging through all day- somehow, a full seven days had come and gone since then, and ( Read more... )

Ngh... how long had he been asleep for? Tsukasa woke slowly, groggily peering around himself. The room was dark, nearly pitch black, so it had to be night which didn't really help very much. The nurse had come in earlier to check on him, muttering things about fever and 'flu, but Tsukasa felt fine now. A little drowsy, but just fine otherwise ( ... )

And here was a night, come and...well, not quite gone. And he wasn't about to let this one go without a fight, damn it. It was about time he stop sulking over either Jiraiya's disappearance or Joshua's death (or both at the same time) and start doing something. Doing something...but what? Well. He had made several promises that were long overdue, like his promise to Donna to paint a nice landscape in the Sun Room.

Of course, painting in the Sun Room had to be a new and truly creative way to commit suicide.

But he had to do something, and right now, a little art with the spray paint and decals sitting in the closet sounded like a very attractive option. Or maybe some adventure...well, it wasn't going to find him in his room of all places.

It never ceased to surprise Howl when he looked forward to a social engagement. Usually such incidents were only vaguely tolerable after he had spent a week or so planning and shoving the majority of responsibility on those whom he called friends. People such as Sophie, for instance ( ... )

"Saaaaaaaaaaa~!" Goku was flat on his back, splayed across his bed after inhaling his dinner. His bloated belly rose up and down with every gulping breath he took. He had to make up for all the oxygen he neglected during the shoveling of his food into his mouth. He lay there, eyes closed, breathing heavily until the lights went out again, as if daylight had just decided to poop out on him.

His big black eyes opened, but they took an unusually long time to adjust to the pitch black. The monkey boy had to wonder if he was just getting old like Master Roshi and his eye sight was beginning to fail him. That would suck! Not like he could do anything about it though; besides, his sniffer still worked.

Jumping off his bed with better poise than last night, Goku waddled to the door and pulled it open, rather hellbent on finding food or that monster that jumped them yesterday. He could not let a good fight pass him by.

There were plenty of scents that assaulted Goku's senses, but it was easy to distinguish and separate the the smells of people from the smell of other things, like food! He could still smell the lingering scent of chicken and rice stuck to the pots even after the soapy residue was cleaned away and dried. First things first, he would have to find out where they kept their chickens. There had to be pen somewhere holding them all, though he couldn't really sense any signs of chicken feed or the usual stench that came form those fat birds.

And there wasn't any lingering signs of that monster either. Hmm, maybe if he moved to the next hallway, he'd find a better lead.
