Day 51: Intercom, Dawn
The blue light of pre-dawn washed over the valley in which the Institute resided, succeeded shortly by the warmer glow of daylight. It wasn't long after that when the intercom jingled to life and the Head Doctor spoke with the same universal clarity he'd returned to at the end of the previous night.
"Hello, everyone, and good morning! You all will shortly be escorted to breakfast, where we are serving some fresh french toast, along with our usual sides of sausage, bacon, hash browns, and alternatives of fruit salads, cereal, bagels, and toast. Water, milk, and orange juice are available to drink, and syrup, butter, and jam are all possible toppings you can put on your breakfast.
"I hope you enjoy your meal and will speak to you again after breakfast. Goodbye!"
After the exceedingly generic announcement, the intercom clicked off.
