The boy didn't meet any lone wanderers as he stepped out into yet another hall, but that was always the case. Right when he thought he was in the clear some asshole stepped from the shadows and decided to make things difficult

It appeared that not many patients were out of their room yet, which was probably a blessing and a curse. The halls were less crowded, so less people were around to make noise and attract monsters.
At the same time, there wouldn't be many people to help if he got attacked. Still, he probably wouldn't need help, with his katana in hand, and if he managed to run into something he couldn't take, Fox wasn't too prideful to retreat.

Makeshift knives in one hand, between his fingers and pointed away to prevent them from causing harm to himself, flashlight in the other, and the odd sensation of the syringe strapped to his wrist, un-sprung and capped with a plastic needle cover as it was, he felt the still new and uneasy sensation of real danger. After brief consideration he left his flashlight off. They were going to need to move quickly if they wanted to accomplish everything tonight. The radio had dropped another hint and Cliff thought, for once, he might know exactly where the cheese was hiding.

That's where he had to go. He said it to himself a few times as he headed out into the hallways and down it. The idea of monsters wasn't one on his little mind just yet. Rabastan Lestrange had a mission. It had been a long and dull day really, and he was relating those events to the radio he held in his hands.
"And then it was just wait, wait, wait. I have never been that bored..."
