A bigger hallway. Just how big was this place supposed to be, anyway? Not that it mattered since he'd find his way out regardless, but Sanctum facilities tended to be huge. He still wasn't seeing any signs of monsters. Wasn't seeing too many people either. ...Actually, Snow wasn't seeing much of anything with how dark it was. Not that

An empty hallway. There was definitely no sign of Cloud, and no sign of anyone else, either. People weren't wasting time. Either that, or they'd decided to try out their rings and were currently warping all over the place. Even into town? Zack had to wonder. That would be kind of rough, having to deal with zombies with no easy way out. He was sure he and his friends could have handled it, but how about the average Joe? Did average Joes even end up here?
Zack just hoped that Cloud hadn't decided to try the ring out before they met up, but the guy wasn't usually that reckless. That sounded more like something he would have done, but Cloud was also a lot different now. Zack didn't want to assume anything, when his friend had already exceeded his greatest expectations ( ... )

How many people had Jones asked to come for this basement expedition, anyway? Harvey hoped it wasn't too large of a number, and if it was, that they split up. Running around in a huge group would just be asking for trouble, and he figured he'd just duck out before getting into a huge mess like that. If they did split up, he'd have to insist on staying with Jones, since he doubted he'd know any of the other patients involved.
Then again, Jones would probably want him to stick with him. If the guy had any sense about him at all, he'd know that placing him with a bunch of idiotic kids would be a bad idea. He wasn't beyond leaving them all to rot if push came to shove.
Or that's what he tried to tell himself, but the man found himself grabbing hold of his coin and rubbing his thumb over it as he turned down the hall, taking the familiar path toward the Sun Room.

Edgar wasn't entirely sure, but the hallways seemed quieter than usual. Given the events of the previous night, he wasn't surprised people were hesitant to test the doorways.
"Let's keep our fingers crossed this door will actually take us outside," he said wryly. "If they are still enchanted, I wouldn't mind returning to Doyleton. Now that we're not bleeding profusely, I can think of a few things I wouldn't mind taking from the town."

The hallway was empty. Or at least, it looked like it was. A faint shiver crept up Brainiac 5's spine, all too aware that impressions like that could be misleading, and he made himself hurry onwards. While a crowd might not automatically be safer, it was instinct to feel better when he wasn't alone in a dark hallway.

M66. Wasn't even that far, either. Carter juggled book and radio, wandering down the hallway free of care. It was wonderful how big the institute was, big enough to give everyone paired rooms and comfy beds at no cost to any of the prisoners.
Huh. Where did Landel's money come from, anyway? That was a bit funny. Maybe he was one of those eccentric millionaire types.
