It didn't normally work very well without a spacecraft. Or, more importantly, a pilot, since machine control of a ship had led to a lot of missing ships. None of them were carrying neural implants -- the hookups were distinctive -- and none of them were carrying a ship, so she was more than a little lost. Cissnei wasn't -- she'd come home? She sat down, leaning back onto her arms. "It really is pretty...and I'm sorry to bring the mood down, but I...I'm a little worried. What if there isn't -- not that I really, really want to go back, but I'm worried about my friends there...I wish I could bring them back here with me, you know?"
Rika sighed just a little. Things weren't that easy, she knew that. But it would be kind of nice, as wishful as the thought was. Something like the last day in Okinomiya all over again...that would be a good thing. Second chances didn't happen often, so taking advantage of them was important.
