It had been nice to get some time to actually talk to Tifa for longer than a few seconds, but Zack still felt like there was so much that was unsaid between them. That was to be expected, when he'd missed so much (when he'd missed Sephiroth coming back), and yet it nagged at him in a way he wished he could ignore. He thought he'd been handling the whole back from the dead thing pretty well so far, but reminders like the way all of his friends looked older, like the knowledge that the general had come back and he hadn't been there to face him--
Ahh, he needed to stop with this. A bar and casino seemed like a good cure, though Zack got the feeling that he wouldn't be allowed to drink or gamble. It was still kind of early for that, anyway, but he had to admit that he was curious.
He walked in, noting the slot machines first. It didn't really match up to the Gold Saucer (not even close), but he hadn't been expecting much. He eyed the man behind the counter, giving him a grin and getting only a glare in return.
Okay, maybe he wouldn't even take his chances with asking if he could get a drink on the house. What Zack found more surprising was that no one was in here but him -- not even a Turk. Then again, the only Turk he'd personally run into was Cissnei, and he couldn't exactly see her as the drinking type.
