Day 49: Doyleton, Noon

Apr 22, 2010 01:50

While the drizzle had been bearable enough, as the day wore on the clouds continued to hang as gray as ever over the small town. If anything, the rain started to come down harder; it wasn't pouring, but it could hardly be called drizzle at this point. The rain darkened the streets and made the buildings stand out starkly. Before long, the nurses would probably be aiming to urge the patients indoors, to keep them from getting too soaked.

The moods of the townspeople continued to echo the weather. They weren't going to stop patients from coming into their stores to keep dry, but they weren't nearly as friendly as usual.

This hadn't been the best day to plan a trip, but it seemed that Landel had forgotten to check the weather report before sending his patients out on the buses.
