[from hereSeimei reached the room without any incident, thankfully, and laid his brother down upon the narrow bed. The silence had endured as the two made their way, both listening for any threat that may leap out of the shadows

Ritsuka rolled himself up into the bed like a lump and winced slightly. Something was jabbing him in the side and he reached down, pulling out the pens and syringes he'd hidden in his clothes. Casually, he let them fall from his hands to join his flashlight on the bedsheets.
"Seimei? What if the camera isn't here at all?" he asked as he idly pushed one of the pens into the others. Even in his own head this didn't sound much like him at all. Ritsuka always wanted to know, to test the truth with his own experience, and yet here he was giving up to the slim possibility that the camera wasn't here. He didn't like it and his eyes reflected a small measure of that unhappiness, before the apathy stifled it.
"Where else would it be?" Seimei said, gathering up their spoils and putting everything away in a drawer under some spare clothes. He then climbed into bed with his sibling, tucking him close into a warm embrace. "Don't worry about it. We'll find it."
Ritsuka wrapped his arms around Seimei's waist and pulled his brother closer, trying to hide his face against him. The apathy was giving way to hopelessness and fear as he realized that despite Seimei's reassurances, neither of them really knew the truth.
"...Soubi might have it," he admitted. "I was with him last I remember... Unless something happened and someone here stole my memories of it."
Considering how he'd lost them before, he wouldn't put it past this place. It hurt to realize how fuzzy things were getting about the last time he'd seen the blonde. It hadn't been more than a day and he was already forgetting things. How long would it be before they all forgot him, too?
Seimei stroked the other's hair slowly, softly. "It will be all right. We have each other, don't we? Even here... we'll find out what's been done to us and we'll get back home. And then we can be a family again." He said, sensing his brother's unease.
"I will take care of you. Just promise me that you'll stay by my side, all right?"
