Maybe it would have been a good idea to put a sweater on before setting out, but Anise didn't feel like going all the way back to her room for that. Besides, those baggy things weren't cute at all. Her current uniform wasn't much better, but still! She wasn't going to go

There were less people here; perhaps because of how young the night was or perhaps because she was heading away from the main hallways that most favored to travel through. While that suited Hime fine from a social perspective, it would mean their group would likely be the first exploring certain areas. Not exactly an honor, considering the dangers.
"Early bird gets the worm," she muttered, "but second mouse gets the cheese."

"Well, that was unproductive," she murmured as they stepped back inside. She took a moment to dab at the blood dripping from her lips with her sleeve - she had no handkerchief and she hardly cared what happened to these dull gray clothes. After tending to that, her crimson gaze turned to Depth Charge.
"Did he crack any ribs?" she asked in a tone that was closer to clinical curiosity than it was to concern. Still, this was not to say her expression was all that cold. It seemed slightly softer than usual, but perhaps that was just because they were no longer lit by the sharp white moonlight.

Depth Charge let his hand drop from Hime's wrist. "Wouldn't know," he answered flatly, "I'm still not used to the whole 'having ribs' deal. Sure as slag hurts, though." There was a moment's silence. He eyed the smear of blood across her lip, paused, then casually asked, "What about you?" There might have been a hint of concern in his voice, if you went in listening for that kind of thing.

Dark eyes gazed around, but there was no sign of anything resembling a patient or a monster.
The northern door would be the one leading to the recreational field. Still traveling under the cover of darkness, which was only a natural way of travel for one calling himself a ninja, Tenzen stealthily moved through the corridor, hand tracing the wall as he did so.
He opened the door, feeling the cold on his skin before he briefly paused to peek outside. He would not allow whatever that possibly lurked on the field to catch him off guard.

Chekov slipped by the two other gentlemen, and looked around the next hallway for anything that might make him want to shut the door and wait out whatever was happening. Fortunately, it looked early on enough in the night that not many people were out. Chekov saw one person, but no one else. He slipped out into the dark hallway and continued on. It was just a straight shot down to the main hallway now.

Another hallway. At least the mighty pirate halfway knew the way this time around, though that didn't make the walk any shorter. Less awkward as he probably wouldn't be taking a detour into the women's hallways, but not any shorter.
The halls were uncomfortably quiet, so Guybrush decided to give himself a little background music. After clearing his throat, he hummed a soft tune. "Oh, there's a monkey in my pocket..."

Just as Guybrush rounded the corner to enter the M-C block, a strange happening awoke him from his wandering stupor- accompanying a little floor-shaking and wall-rattling was the sound of an explosion. "What in the world was that?" he asked himself, picking up the pace.
Excitement, finally! With any luck, a nearby wall had caved, making a passage to somewhere new (or a shortcut to anywhere. The asylum needed more of those).

Scott swore he could hear someone singing (terribly) further down the hall, but they were getting too far ahead for him to catch any of the lyrics very clearly. "Great, way to help the atmosphere, Whoever-That-Is. Disembodied singing. Only way it'd be worse would be if it were a creepy little girl singing," Scott said to himself, shuddering slightly as he kept going.
