Night 47: Equipment/Chemical Storage

Mar 01, 2010 01:04

[ from here ]To say that Rolo was happy that he actually fulfilled his objective for the night was an understatement, and were it not for the pull of fabric against his skin reminding him that Greta was still with him, he would have just ran into the chemical storage and shut the door immediately. Instead, he looked behind him in slight confusion ( Read more... )

[From here. Recluse is just going to ignore you guys unless someone talks to him, so he can be in a separate thread if you like. As it is, he's just big, scary, and dressed in his Oktoberfest outfit.]

Recluse opened the door to the storage room, glowing red eyes sparing a glance at the two that had preceded him here. Unless they turned their flashlights towards his eyes or made some unwise move, he would ignore them. He had more important things to do than deal with others.

He headed for the yellow cabinets, pulling them open and studying the contents. The glycerin, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, zinc chloride, potassium nitrate, urea, magnesium chloride and perchloric acid could all be used for something useful for him... It was a shame chemical weapons were such a taboo in most cultures. He already had enough phosgene to trade with others, after all.

[Got it.]Though she stayed as impassive as ever, a fraction felt the rising waves of relief that came with arriving at one's destination. Additionally, the patients in the other room hadn't bothered to follow. They had more or less finished their tasks for the night. Perfect ( ... )

Feeling someone walk near him again, Rolo raised his head to see that Ange had returned to him. Craning his neck a little would reveal the reason: Someone had followed them in. His eyes narrowed and he tensed at first, but upon realizing that this stranger seemed to not notice or care about them, he relaxed - slightly. What the hell was ... No, it wasn't worth even bothering to wonder. This place was weird and the people weirder, and that's all there was to it ( ... )

When her attention returned to Rolo, Ange could not help but take in his discomfort with interest. He most likely found the third occupant an undesired factor, if his shift in mannerism indicated anything. Out of pure curiosity, she again focused on the stranger with a fixed stare, allowing her back to lean against the blue cabinets behind her.

She did not give much thought as to what either of them were looking for. Again, Ange found most things to be of no concern. Consequently, she eventually ended up lolling her eyes to the ground in boredom.

Which was why Rolo's offer seemed to come out of nowhere. There was a brief blank stare at the scalpel, before she took it gingerly out of his hands. To be honest, she had no idea what use it would be to her, but it was better to accept a gift with affability. Or something.

She nodded once in thanks. Talking was pointless at the moment.
