Finally, the stairs. Bella sighed a sigh of relief once she hit the empty hallway, her flashlight cutting through the thick darkness as she looked around. She was alone in the stairwell, and because of such she knew that there was no time to waste.
She didn't even bother trying to run up the stairs, knowing that if she did she would trip. As it were she was amazed she hadn't fallen or tripped yet -
The moment she thought that her toe clipped the side of the stair and she let out a hiss of pain, hopping up and down for a few seconds before carrying on. All in all, a jammed toe was nothing compared to a broken leg.
