The night started and Mori was out of his room as quickly as he could be. Something about the night always made him a bit sluggish. Maybe it was the smells in the air, the ones that always suddenly hit him like a wave - the smell of rot and decay, the smell of rust and mold. It was unpleasant and it always took him a few minutes to steel himself and pick out other smells from it all. He knew why the Club had given him the title of "Wild Type," and while he didn't always agree with it, he did on this point.
Opening the door, Mori tapped the closet rod on his shoulder and started for Mitsukuni's room. He was likely a few minutes late, but since he was on guard duty anyway, he supposed that wouldn't be too bad.

When the intercom finally came on, the Doctor looked up at the speaker sharply. A radio broadcast? He glanced at the radio that was sitting on his desk, and after a moment's thought, grabbed it. He'd take it with him, to see if he could pick up anything, or else tamper with the electronics inside to pick up whatever there might be to pick up. He took his journal and a pen, too, putting them into one of his coat pockets-they might not have been able to hold as much as they usually could with the, but they were much better than nothing at all.
