Day 47: Sun Room [4th Shift]

[For Yuna!Fish and chips weren't his favorite thing ever, but he did make sure to eat it all. He just liked to think of the fish as the Filet'o Fish without the bun and it made it easier to eat. The french fries had been pretty well cleaned off and he'd even managed a bit of fruit, although he avoided the oranges and other sour things his nurse

Of course, Emmett was right. "Kate, would you like to go outside today? You can play some sports with the other girls, it'll be fun!"

Bella's face to that thought was one of pure terror, and she practically pleaded to go to the Sun Room. After a bit of time, she finally wandered into the large room, feeling pleased with herself that she had gotten out of a potential deadly situation (not deadly for herself, but for others.) and instead entered a better one. When she caught sight of Emmett, a smile instantly crossed her face, and she moved over to him. "Hey, Emmett."

Sitting down next to her future brother in law, Bella turned her head to look up at the larger man, tilting her head to the side as her smile slowly vanished and was replaced by a concerned frown. "How are you feeling?"

"Action, yeah," Bella said with a frown, leaning back against the couch with a frown. She remembered last night quite vividly, and it was ... quite terrifying, to say the least. "I caught Edward attacking someone ... and I tackled him." She was sure Emmett was going to get a kick out of that one; he always found things like that funny when it came to her.

She was quiet for a moment before speaking once again, her voice soft. "I bandaged him up too ... ripping up my shirt. Except i couldn't touch him because apparently the venom would have hurt me too."

It sucked she couldn't really help when needed, and instead had to only help a little bit. What would happen when the day came and she really needed to help and she couldn't without getting injured? She knew Edward would never allow her to get hurt, so she doubted she'd even get the chance.

"It was pretty rough. There was blood everywhere."

Bella let out a soft laugh of her own, running her fingers through her hair as she looked away from Emmett and out the window. "Thanks. I didn't even think. It was like I had no control over my body ... it just moved. And I actually got him to stay down too."

But, of course, at the mention of risking her life for bandages, her expression instantly fell before being replaced by a pout. "He doesn't know what he's talking about. It's really not that big of a deal. You know how Edward can be. I just ... want to help, and I decided that I finally am." At this point of the day, she knew that Emmett wouldn't be able to tell Edward of what she was planning to do, and she really didn't want to lie. "I have my map, and I know where to get some supplies ... I run in and run back, and it'll be fine. I promise."

She paused, then frowned. "I'll deal with Edward when I see him ... since I'm sure he'll be angry. But it's a risk I'm willing to take, you know?"

At Emmett's offer, Bella smiled, but ended up shaking her head anyway. "Thanks, but I really need to do this myself. I mean, at least this time. I want to prove that I can do something without getting hurt, that I don't need to be watched at all times and that I can take care of myself. Especially because of how injured Edward is right now; I ..." a pause, and her smile faded, replaced by a frightned look that was quickly washed away, "I don't know what I'll so if he gets even worse because of me. I've already hurt him so much."

But enough of that. Bella turned to look at Emmett and gave him a stern look. "But I promise that when I want to go weapon hunting? You'll be the first person I'll go to. Fair?"

( that's fine with me! though edward is going to be hunting her down too and then probably bringing her back to his room for a beat down, so maybe emmett can see edward coming or something and stop following her then? idk. )

Bella frowned, turning her gaze away from Emmett as he complained. That was what she got for telling someone about her plans. Note to self, don't speak about them again.

"It's going to be fine," she grumbled herself, playing with a stray string on her pants, "Really. I'll take care of Edward and his rage myself. He doesn't need to be mad at us. Besides, I've seen him mad before, I know how to handle it."

She had a feeling that Emmett was going to hunt her down as well. After all, hadn't the Cullens hunted her down before, when she had run off to protect them all from James?

She'd just have to make it out of her room and to her destination before she was hunted down completely.

When Emmett threw his hands up in defeat (mock, she instantly knew.) Bella couldn't help but glare at him for a moment before righting her gaze. She knew better, but she couldn't let him know that. She didn't know what was going to happen, but if Emmett got hurt because of her as well ...

However, Emmett's second round of comments had Bella smiling and laughing, soon grinning up to her future big brother before speaking. "Yeah, I have heard those speeches. A lot, actually, mostly from Edward; I think I can even recite them for you. Do you guys all read out of a book or something or do you have it written down. Do I have to learn it when I become one of you because I'm not really the 'got it memorized?' type."
