And now it was time for the traditional cautious entry into the Sun Room, the old classic of carefully scanning the area for the enemy that will surprise you anyway, and then the venerable tradition of running in an attempt to not become very lumpy wallpaper.

HK had done this so many times by now, it at least felt like it deserved ( Read more... )

Things went from slightly strange to utter chaos once they entered the Sun Room. There was a fight breaking out on the other side, but from the look of it Sora had things well in hand. Besides, it was like four or five guys against one. Maybe it was just a disagreement. Even if he didn't know Sora real well, he didn't want to see the guy get hurt.

...just as he thought, there was something going on in here. There always seemed to be something, and while Joshua usually didn't mind, the simple fact of the matter was that this was an unwelcome, dangerous situation. Normally Joshua wouldn't mind, not at all, but he couldn't exactly stop bullets as he was now. Nor did he really want to think about the unpleasant possibility that their little expedition could be stalled here.

On the other hand, this was an opportunity... Joshua remained silent for now, waiting to see how the other two reacted. This was an interesting situation, after all... maybe he'd see something as a result.

Standing in the doorway, Leonard's light shined into the room and illuminated several figures all at once. What is- wait, was that...? He turned his light away, not wanting to draw attention to the group, especially if what he thought he saw wasn't just some trick of the darkness. Turning the lights off was one thing, but giving some maniac a firearm was just insane.

He took a couple of steps toward the two teens. "What the hell is going on here?" he whispered, keeping his eyes on the room before them.

It was one thing to walk away when a fight was beginning, but there was no mistaking the gunshots that'd just been fired. Neku stiffened, already pressed against the wall as they snuck toward the Arts and Crafts room. Fighting the Noise was one thing, but being shot at was another. Unfortunately, he had experience with both.

Leonard voiced exactly what he wanted to say, so there was no point repeating it, but if he felt hesitant about leaving Sora to fight some psycho before, knowing he had a gun only made things worse. To Leonard, he shook his head. He'd heard some things, but he'd no idea what was going on here and there was no way he could just ditch Sora like this. Even so, how was he supposed to help? He had nothing but a flashlight to fight with. No Psychs, and it wasn't like reading some crazy guy's mind was going to help either! Dammit!"Sora!" he shouted, taking a step away from the wall and hoping the other boy recognized his voice if turning to look was too much of a distraction. Then again, shouting across ( ... )
