Night 46: West Wing, North Hallway 1-A

Leaning against the wall by the door that lead outside, he sighed and tilted his head back. What was he doing? Why were his senpai gone when he so very much needed them to tell him what he should really be doing

Peter's running spree ended when he got into the next part of the hallway and saw two other patients hanging around. He usually wasn't one to let the pride get the best of him like that, but the door into Nathan's room block was pretty close by anyhow. It wasn't too necessary to run.

He almost hoped that he'd see his brother walk out of the door right as he went up to it, but nothing like that actually happened. Strangely enough, he was getting more and more nervous the closer he got to Nathan's room. What if he walked in and there was no one there?

Being told by a nurse that his brother had been discharged was one thing, but seeing a vacant room was something else entirely. Peter took a deep breath and headed into the block. No matter how anxious he was, he still had to find out once and for all.

Ah, there he was! She spotted him as soon as she entered this section of the corridor, leaning near the door looking somewhat dejected. She approached him quickly, being as direct as she could be so as not to startle him. There was no point in secrecy wen she was approaching someone she was hunting with. That was reserved for enemies and food. "Junpei," she said quietly as she reached him, a small smile on her lips. "Are you ready to hunt?"

Junpei started a little when Argilla said his name. Sure, she hadn't been all stealthy-like, but he had been sort of lost in thoughts and people moving about were kinda common.

"Hey, Argilla-kun," he greeted back, his voice not nearly as quiet as hers. At the question he shuffled his feet a little.

"...I guess so. I'm not really sure how we do this hunting thing."

Had she startled him anyway? Oh. He must not have been paying attention. That was rather dangerous during the middle of the night wasn't it? Anything could have snuck up on him! A ravenous demon who didn't have such good intentions could have crept up on him and suck their teeth into his tender juicy young flesh. He was just lucky that it was her and she wasn't that kind of demon.

"Depends what you want to hunt. You can leave most of it to me. I usually use a combination of magic and bludgeoning it to death with a pickaxe."

"I... don't really have a preference." At all. Junpei still couldn't believe he was going through with this. Thankfully, Argilla said she'd be doing most of the work, which was cool. Fighting Shadows and to keep from being killed was one thing, fighting for food was something else.

"How about you just go with what you want and I'll tag along and see what it's like. Totally backing you up, though, babe."

Right from under my motion sensors... it was a wonder the hall wasn't shaking from the weight of his footsteps. Strangely enough, though, Depth Charge felt curiously light, as though his entire body were being propelled forward by the sheer force of his frustration and anger. And guilt, too. The guilt was unbearable.

The worst part was, none of this was new. None of it. Different body, different setting, same feelings. Only it wasn't X he was chasing, it was some faceless sadist with a fetish for mind-melting.

Hah. Put like that, he suddenly felt like he'd never left Colony Omicron.

Leonard kept the photograph of Joshua and the note in hand as he scanned his map, trying to figure out the best method to reach M94. He could either take a route that involved going outside, or go through a myriad of hallways. Power outage or not, the outside is going to be locked. Scenic route it is.

Dinner had been awesome, especially the brown stuff that was probably supposed to be dessert, but now that it was night Sokka couldn’t think entirely about food. He hadn’t been told to do anything on the board, but even without having a set kind of plan, that wouldn’t keep him in. Shika would probably get mad after what all he’d said the night before, but Sokka couldn’t spend another night just staying in his room. There was nothing he could do by sitting around, doodling in his journal
